Experience Overview

Three cities, one desert night, and forts visited at 8 am, when the stone is cool and the tour buses are still at breakfast. This journey cuts the usual five-city rush to three, trading coach-window sightseeing for havelis, home kitchens, and early-entry mornings.

Jaipur mornings begin at Amber Fort before the crowds, followed by block-printing in Sanganer and the old city’s bazaars. Jodhpur gives three hours in Mehrangarh and a home-cooked dinner. One night camps in the Thar with camel or jeep transfers, before Udaipur closes the loop with a Lake Pichola boat ride and the City Palace.

The landscape shifts from Jaipur’s pink sandstone to Jodhpur’s indigo-washed lanes beneath Mehrangarh’s 120-metre walls, then out to Thar scrubland where the temperature drops sharply after sunset. Udaipur closes it in white marble and lake water, with Ranakpur’s 1,444 carved pillars marking the road south.

Some moments are built for lingering: standing alone in Amber’s Sheesh Mahal at 8.20 am, a thousand mirrors and nobody’s elbow; a Manganiyar voice rising over the desert camp as the last orange leaves the sky; and the first sight of Lake Pichola from the boat, palace floating on its own reflection.

Built for first-time Rajasthan travellers who want the icons without the herd, families with children old enough for forts, and returning visitors ready to trade extra cities for depth. Not for travellers wanting Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Pushkar in one week — that trip is mostly motorway.

FAQs

Everything you
need to know

Is seven nights enough for Rajasthan?

Arrow

For three cities and a desert night, yes — comfortably. Adding Jaisalmer or Pushkar means either racing or extending to ten nights. We'd rather you leave wanting more than leave exhausted; second visits are how most travellers become repeat travellers.

Are the haveli stays comfortable or just charming?
