GITEX Global is the Gulf’s biggest technology show and, for Indian tech and IT-services firms, the easiest large one to reach. The 2026 edition runs 7–11 December — moved from its usual October slot — at Expo City Dubai, the old Expo 2020 site. If you sell software, cloud, AI or services into MEA, your buyers are here.
A working delegation splits the week deliberately. Day one is orientation and hall-mapping; days two and three are pre-booked meetings — Gulf enterprise buyers, government digital departments, distributors hunting India-priced product. Evenings go to client dinners in Downtown or the Marina. The final day covers follow-ups and the stands everyone kept walking past.
The operational shift matters: the venue has moved from the World Trade Centre to Expo City, roughly 45 minutes from Downtown Dubai, so the old hotel logic no longer holds. We either book near the venue and Dubai South, or hold Downtown rooms with fixed cars each morning. The metro’s Route 2020 line earns its fare at peak hours.
Some moments are built for lingering: the first walk down a country-pavilion aisle where two prospects and three competitors share one row; a distribution memo initialled over karak chai at a stand table; the flight home where the team ranks forty conversations into five real leads before the seatbelt sign comes on.

How much visa lead time does a December GITEX trip need?
Very little, which is the point. UAE visas for Indian passports typically clear in three to five working days, so a delegation can be confirmed three or four weeks out. Flights and rooms are the real clock — December is Dubai's peak tourist season, so we prefer to lock the trip eight weeks ahead.
