Singapore
The City as a Lab

Where constraints became a design brief

Programme Overview

Beyond the classroom.
A city, studied as a system.

Four and a half hours from Chennai sits a nation that decided its constraints — no land, no water, no resources — were a design brief. This five-night journey treats the whole city as a working model of urban innovation, framing every stop as a case study with a stated learning outcome your faculty agrees to in advance. One leisure day, deliberately last, is the earned reward for a week of real work.

Learning Outcomes
  • A case-study reading of Gardens by the Bay's solar-powered Supertrees.
  • A campus day at a globally ranked university, with an admissions overview.
  • A futuristic-architecture walk through Marina Bay, studying how the district cools itself.
  • A biodiversity session at the Night Safari, framed as study rather than a ride.
  • A post-trip presentation students prepare and deliver to their school.

A campus day at a globally ranked university — student-led tour, admissions overview for seniors, and lunch in the food court among undergraduates.

Day 4

Marina Bay & Night Safari

Day 5

Earned Leisure Day
