MEDICA is the medical technology industry’s biggest annual gathering — over 5,000 exhibitors filling Messe Düsseldorf from 16 to 19 November 2026, with COMPAMED’s component and manufacturing suppliers running alongside. For Indian device makers, diagnostics firms and hospital-procurement teams, it is the one show where the entire global supply chain stands in the same halls.
Exhibiting teams and visiting teams run different weeks. Exhibitors need booth staff landed, briefed and rotated across four long days, with buyer meetings stacked into the stand’s calendar. Visiting delegations split between MEDICA’s finished-device halls and COMPAMED’s component aisles, walking distributor meetings in between. Evenings are Altstadt dinners with partners — brief the team on punctuality; German buyers notice.
The logistics trap is the hotel bill. Düsseldorf rates roughly triple during the fair and the city sells through early, so we stage delegations from Cologne — twenty minutes away by train, at sane prices, with the bonus that BIO-Europe runs there 9–11 November. November Rhineland is grey and around 7°C; build coats into the packing note.
