Four shrines across the Garhwal Himalaya — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath — taken in the traditional order, at a pace that leaves room for the reason you came. Ten nights instead of the usual eight builds in a buffer day where the mountains demand one.
The route runs Haridwar to Barkot, then Yamunotri and Uttarkashi, Gangotri and the drive towards Kedarnath, the Kedarnath trek or helicopter and its evening aarti, and finally Badrinath with a walk to Mana village. Registration, permits, ponies or palki, and helicopter options are arranged in advance and explained honestly.
The Garhwal Himalaya shifts from Har Ki Pauri’s riverside flames to high mountain trails, Yamunotri’s hot spring, Gangotri’s snow-lit shikharas, and Kedarnath’s stone shrine beneath a wall of snow peaks. Vegetarian, satvik meals run throughout, and the pace stays deliberately mountain-slow rather than motorway-fast.
Some moments are built for lingering: rice cooked in Surya Kund’s boiling spring at Yamunotri, carried home wrapped in cloth; the first sight of Kedarnath temple through the mist at kilometre fourteen, and the silence that follows; and evening aarti at Badrinath, Neelkanth turning rose-gold above the conches.

Can senior citizens complete the Char Dham?
Many do, every season, with the right design — ponies or palki on both trails, helicopter for Kedarnath, oxygen in vehicles, and a doctor consultation we insist on for travellers over 65. Health registration is mandatory for all pilgrims; heart, BP or joint conditions should be shared honestly with your curator.
